In July I took a trek to Reno to visit family. It's been a long time since I've visited Reno in the summer time. Because of that, I decided I wanted to take a trip to Lake Tahoe. For once I could actually go swimming and enjoy the beach as it was summer time, and the lake is always freezing cold (that's what you get with glacial waters).
So I convinced my brother and his kids to spend a morning there with me. It was wonderful. And it reminds me, why don't I live there? The crystal clear water, the soft, sandy beaches, the snow capped mountains in the background. No other lake compares to Tahoe. I had no idea how spoiled I was growing up with this as our swimming hole. I kind of miss it.
